5 Mil Polyimide Tape
Polyimide tape is made by combining polyimide film with a specific adhesive, usually either acrylic or silicone. Silicone adhesive tapes have a high temperature resistance rating of 500°F but are more expensive compared to acrylic adhesive tapes, which have a lower temperature rating of 300°F .
Each roll is 36 yards long; this listing is for the 5 mil thickness tape.
(Silicone adhesive polyimide tape is often known under the brand name Kapton.)
Our tapes are optimal for soldering, powder coating masking, and other applications that require a mix of high heat adhesive tape and clean removal with no residue. (Our polyimide tape also resists acids, oils, solvents, and bases!)
Our polyimide tapes also have high dielectric strength ideal for electrical insulation usages.
Polyimide tape is naturally amber, but we offer black polyimide tape as well.
